Bournemouth Screen Academy remains firmly resolute in its dedication to film, its traditions, its future and its value.  It offers the best provision in the South West of England to support high quality work and training.  

All members of our community share a passion for the art of filmmaking, from concept through pre-production to shooting and finally on to post-production. To enable this process to thrive, we have invested heavily in the tools which facilitate professional production and high quality output. 

All members of the film community here experience handling and editing film in the traditional way and through this gain real appreciation for the craft.  Whilst not every project undertaken will use film as the medium, the principles, process and philosophy of filmmaking are applied. 

We have a considerable and continuing investment in professional quality film acquisition and this is the vehicle through which the majority of our graduates choose to realise their final project work.  We have a range of HD equipment available, which ensures currency with the latest developments in the field and we also have considerable investment in our location and studio equipment with which  to realise our film-makers’ visions.  Our purpose-designed digital edit suites provide all of the necessary tools to enable the fast and efficient turn-around of our internationally acclaimed and prize-winning films.
